Job Summary
Qualification and Experience
- B.E / B.Tech in Electronics & Communication / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering (M.Tech in Signal & Telecommunication or relevant field preferred).
- 6–7 years of experience in railway or metro projects, specifically in Signalling & Telecommunication (S&T) systems.
- Hands-on experience in design, installation, testing, or commissioning of S&T systems such as signalling, telecom networks, OFC, SCADA, or train control systems.
- Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD and MS Office; familiarity with signalling design tools is an advantage.
- Good understanding of railway signalling principles, interlocking systems, and telecom infrastructure.
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic understanding of railway/metro project stakeholders and processes.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Responsibilities would typically include
- Assist in design review and feasibility analyses for Signalling & Telecommunication systems.
- Support project coordination activities for S&T works across various stages.
- Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical documents related to signalling and telecom systems.
- Provide technical support and assist in troubleshooting S&T system issues during execution.
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely execution of works.
- Support preparation of reports, documentation, and project closeout submissions.
- Monitor progress of S&T activities and highlight issues or delays to senior team members.
- Review signalling layouts, cable routing plans, and telecom network drawings.
- Ensure adherence to IRS, RDSO, IS, IEC, and relevant standards under guidance of senior engineers.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for interface management.
- Assist in client/consultant interactions for technical clarifications and approvals.
