Railway Structural Engineer

Role Overview:

As a Railway Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for structural analysis, design, and review of railway infrastructure components such as bridges (RCC & PSC), ROBs, RUBs, station structures, and support systems under consultancy contracts. The ideal candidate will have experience working with EPC contractors, Authority Engineers, or design review consultants on Indian railway and metro projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structural analysis and prepare detailed design reports for railway bridges and related structures using IRS and IRC codes.
  • Prepare and review GADs, reinforcement drawings, and BOQs in coordination with design and drafting teams.
  • Liaise with client agencies such as Indian Railways, DFCCIL, Metro Rail Corporations, and EPC contractors.
  • Support in proof-checking of contractor designs and design vetting activities.
  • Prepare and present technical documentation for DPRs, tenders, and RFP responses.
  • Participate in design reviews, site visits, and technical discussions with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely delivery of quality outputs in compliance with contractual obligations.

Required Qualifications:

  • E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.E./M.Tech in Structural Engineering preferred).
  • 5–10 years of experience in structural design and consultancy services in the railway domain.
  • Familiarity with codes and manuals: IRS, IS, IRC, MoRTH, and Indian Railway standards.
  • Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, MIDAS, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • Experience with DPR preparation, proof-checking, or GFC design submissions is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience:

  • Worked on assignments involving RITES, IRCON, DFCCIL, or State Metro Projects.
  • Exposure to Authority Engineer, Independent Engineer, or DPR Consultant roles.
  • Knowledge of BIM and software such as Revit, Civil 3D, or OpenBridge (advantageous but not mandatory).

Job Description:

We are hiring experienced Electrical Engineers for our Railway Electrification Projects with a strong background in Overhead Equipment (OHE), Traction Substations (TSS), and Power Supply Systems (PSS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise installation, testing & commissioning of OHE, TSS & PSS systems
  • Review drawings and ensure site execution as per RDSO/CORE standards
  • Coordinate with design teams, clients & subcontractors
  • Conduct inspections, quality checks, and ensure safety compliance
  • Prepare daily progress reports and assist in material planning

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in Railway Electrification (preferably private sector/EPC)
  • Strong knowledge of 25kV OHE, TSS, protection systems, and electrical safety
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office tools
